You may have seen the logo on our website before, but for anyone new, we are a certified B Corp, which we are very proud of!

B Corp has set out to redefine business as a force for good. To join the movement, companies embark on a rigorous process, ensuring they meet high social and environmental performance standards, transparency and accountability. 

Once certified as a B Corp, you are committed to maintaining these standards and must re-certify every three years. 

March is B Corp month, and this year's focus is "We Go Beyond". It is a chance to give you some insight into why we are so passionate about being a certified B Corp and how it impacts what we do. So here's a note from us to explain more...

We make beautiful jewellery for people who want to celebrate each other or a life event. We want to ensure that the materials we use aren’t harming society or the planet and that the people involved are treasured.

Undoubtedly the jewellery industry is fraught with sustainability issues. So, to do what we can, we became B Corp certified in 2019. B Corp businesses must meet the highest standard of environmental and social impact. So it’s no longer just enough to do less harm; it’s also about doing more good, going beyond what is expected.  

We ‘go beyond’ because, as a jewellery business, we have a responsibility to make positive changes where we can.

We handmake our jewellery in our workshop with a team of Goldsmiths that we continue to train. We use 100% post consumer recycled gold and, wherever possible traceable gemstones. We guarantee our diamonds are conflict-free and work with our suppliers to be fully transparent about where they are mined. We are a supportive team of empowered women! (With the odd man thrown in for good measure). All our employees earn more than the London Living Wage and use public transport, cycle or walk to work. We have measured our carbon footprint and reduced it over the past three years, aiming to be Net Zero.

We also give 1% of our turnover towards environmental projects such as ‘Peace Diamonds’, where abandoned mining pits are turned back into arable land for farming or reforestation.

If you are a business owner or in a position of influence, you can become a B Corp and join the movement. As a consumer, seek out B Corp brands and find out how they are different and how they are going beyond the business-as-usual formula.
