Started in 1997 we are an award-winning independent jewellery company with a team of Goldsmiths working in-store - as well as showcasing the very best from over 30 designer-makers. Our team of talented jewellery designers and skilled craftspeople work with our customers to create jewellery specifically for them. Forerunners in ethical diamonds, recycled gold, and the first company in the world to make and register Fairtrade Jewellery - we continue to create from materials that are sourced responsibly in a way that minimises our impact on the environment.
OUR STORY
Jos and Alison met at a time when Britannia was cool and Clerkenwell was a bit run down. Originally the backroom of a disused shop - E.C.One was born to bridge the gap between the high street and the gallery. A place where our designer-maker friends could show their work and people could come and have something made by hand. Being a craftsman wasn’t hip back then, in fact most people thought you worked with your hands because you weren’t bright enough to have a professional job.
