Chan Luu began making jewellery as a young girl by stringing together shells collected on the beaches of her hometown in Vietnam. She then spent two decades working in fashion before founding her brand. The first pieces were made by Chan in her Los Angeles garage.

A lifelong traveller, Chan’s deep love for traditional handmade crafts has been the inspiration of many of her bestselling pieces. 

In 2016 Chan passed the creative torch to her niece Tessa Tran, who continues the brand’s evolution as creative director.
