We at EC One loved the delicate and intricate filigree work in Filipa’s work. Filipa’s attention to detail is exquisitely executed in her elegant award winning designs.  Here’s how Filipa describes her work ….

Filipa Oliveira graduated in 2011 with 1st class honours from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. In the same year she was awarded with New Designers Goldsmiths Company Award for Jewellery. After launched her first collection Black Preciousness in 2011, this year she launched her new collection Golden Honey.

Her work is inspired by traditional crafts, especially filigree, she uses this ancient technique in an innovative way to lend detail and heritage to her detailed work. This historical element allows both the past and present to be encompassed within each piece of jewellery and is evocative of different times and cultures.
