7 Deadly Sins, 7 gorgeous rings…

On what was a chilly Thursday night last week, we held a fabulous evening of celebration at our annual Stephen Webster party. Held every November, we like to give Stephen an evening of exuberance and – after last year’s dazzling Jewels Verne launch party – this year was the turn of something even bigger and bolder… Stephen Webster’s limited edition 7 Deadly Sins collection – 7 rings based on the 7 Deadly Sins, with only 7 of each ever made! What’s more, these stunning rings are definitely not for the faint hearted, with one in particular retailing at £125,000… And of course only available to order!

Envy – Set with a central Peridot

Greed – Yellow gold set with dazzling white Diamonds

These fantastic rings have been over a year in the making, from initial sketches and several reincarnations to the final, detail-rich rings. Each one is set with a stunning centre stone, the colour of which plays on the ideas and themes behind each sin… Green for Envy, purple for Pride, diamonds for Greed…

And what a brilliant evening we had, lauching these rings to dedicated Webster fans who adore his work and certainly own a piece or two already. Stephen was there, chatting with the guests and enjoying some gorgeous sushi and Laurent Perrier champagne, kindly provided by the lovely people at Koi restaurant in Kensington.

We have to applaud the lovely Basia and Liza, the two superstars of EC One’s Ledbury Road store, whose displays on the night were amazing. With each ring designated its own display cabinet, they toyed with the theme, piling up hand-decorated cupcakes below the Greed ring, a tumble of peaches below the Lust ring, and a gorgeous peacock-feather mask below the Pride ring. Truly dazzling…

Lust – A tangle of legs and arms, showing off an oval-cut Tanzanite surrounded by diamonds

Pride – Gorgeous anodised titanium set with a central Amethyst, diamonds and pink and blue sapphires

Sloth – A cosy, cushion-shaped Aquamarine, surrounded by rubies

Wrath – A red gold ring, set with a blood-red Garnet, diamonds and rubies
