Clarice Price Thomas wins EC One Unsigned!

We have big news: we can offically reveal our Unsigned Winner for 2011 – Clarice Price Thomas walked away with the prize at last night’s Unsigned Party.

It was a great night – finalists, judges, jewellery professionals and fashion bloggers mingled over drinks and listened to the band, until, at 8pm, EC One co-owners Jos and Alison Skeates called for quiet, and announced Clarice’s win. Check out that massive grin!

The EC One judges chose Clarice’s work because of the incredibly high quality of craftsmanship, and the highly polished and cohesive look of the collection. They were also impressed when they learnt she had never studied jewellery design formally (she learned most of her skills from her watchmaker father). “To come so far without that support shows real determination and grit”, said judge and fellow jewellery designer, William Cheschire.

In Clarice’s own words: “I’m absolutely over the moon with happiness that I’ve won EC One Unsigned 2011, and I’m so excited about being able to work with Jos, and everyone else at EC One to help me develop myself and my collection further. I’m really looking forward to working with Push PR as well to get my work seen, and hopefully, this amazing opportunity will really help me kick-start my business in the jewellery industry! I’m really excited about the coming months and seeing how things take shape!”
